…and if you didn’t know, you’re welcome.
I crack my knuckles and pull out the giant Google Sheets workbook of Wordle openings I made a couple years ago
Instead of HEIST ADORN, rearrange those letters into THOSE DRAIN or SAINT HORDE for better letter placements.
Those aren’t the 10 most common letters in Wordle solutions, though. That would be EAROTILSNU. For those, you could play LOUSE TRAIN, ROUTE SLAIN, SAINT ROULE, and dozens of other arrangements.
In two word starts, I’d rather use C than U or Y. COAST LINER and CLOSE TRAIN are my favorites.
You. I like you.
Or you could use PENIS and MOUTH to get there.
I don’t see the point of meta-gaming wordle. I like it when I guess ZEBRA and the Z turns yellow. Or QUEST and they’re all black. I dunno. I min max everything else I do… Wordle is my safe space.
No problem there. For me, though, Wordle is a fun problem to optimize. Whenever I lose a puzzle, it reminds me to look at the problem again and try something else.
Currently, I start with LANCE and then start trying to use letters RTIPDSHBMO in some optimized follow-ups. My next step would be to write a bot to try every starting word and every arrangement of preferred letters to find the best heuristic that never loses. But, I’m in no rush to do that.
But yeah, it’s also fun to challenge myself and play a stylish starting word like TAROT, MPRET, or SHITE, and then try to win anyway.
My safe space is tarot cards. 0 logic, all vibes.
There’s a reason I have a poster sized version of The Fool on my wall.
THAT’S MY SIGNIFIER! I’m nonbinary and pretty much all of the normal ones are gendered.
I start with EARLY and PIOUS to get all the vowels. How noob am I?
A little noobish. You need a T! Try IRATE and LOUSY instead.
A ”Y” would be more valuable in Wordle than the 10th most commonly used letter I reckon.
NOISY HATER. Or maybe STONE HAIRY or THOSE RAINY. I think they’re all an improvement from playing a D or a U.
ok you got me try “hairy notes” but I’m still probably gonna use my original version.
I’m going the ”nails route” in Quordle to see how giving up my previous y goes. I like the ending e.
so does stoned hair.
That’s slightly less useful in the context of Wordle
