I hate that people don’t recognize the depth of what intelligence can be. You alluded to athletic intelligence, but there’s so many more. Emotional intelligence is a big buzzword, but just being a kind person is a reflection of that type.

Some of the most insufferable people I’ve ever met are “smart” but holy shit would I prefer to spend my time with someone else.

I don’t think there is a great way to quantify intelligence, but IQ and MENSA ain’t it. And chess is just boring. I’m not good at it because I don’t want to be.

Basically, there’s not enough remaining votes to realistically flip any of the swing states. So if they’re at 80% reporting with 52% going to trump, the remaining 20% would have to be like 80% Harris, which is unlikely. So they’ve called the election.

Smallville Lex was the best by a mile, because it showed the progression of the character in a believable way.

I stopped watching Mr. Robot in like season 2 for this reason. Loved the concept, but sheesh. I know it’s not a book, but I just can’t take it.

Just looked mine up and it’s only 1440p and 165Hz actually and I still don’t see a reason to upgrade. Stuff looks amazing.

I think it’s a matter of quality control and safety. One kitchen might get it right, but another under cooks the meat and gives a customer food poisoning. Who is liable?

I barely use the first 240Hz and 4k… Why the fuck would I upgrade?

My most recent experience with that was Manor Lords, the steep learning curve was one thing, the inability to mine some resources due to game breaking bugs though…

I think context gives away the intent of the message. My previous 20-year-old car cost $6,000 in repairs and the check engine light was still on. My 2022 car just works.

Every used car I’ve ever owned cost thousands in repairs that were unexpected. Head gaskets, alternators, O2 sensors, intake manifolds, ignition coils, brake calipers, radiators, every fucking time. It’s cheaper to just get a five year loan on a 2 year old car around $20k than to fuck with anything used.

I’ll literally never buy that brand again. Got two in 2016’ish and they are the hardest bikes to work on. Brakes are a bitch, rear tire good luck, and their frame fits nothing but their own custom kits.

Combine the Carolinas and Dakotas, add DC and Puerto Rico. No flag change.
