Simple cause and effect, coupled with pre-existing fear of cops because of the multitude of times they’ve shot a person dead over nothing, or kneeled on their neck until they were dead over cigarettes.

Work makes us feel like we have purpose because capitalism has deprived us of the opportunity to fill that void with anything that actually enriches us as humans. If we’re not working, we feel worthless because that status quo mindset has been forced into reality, while things like homelessness have been criminalized, and everything else has been pushed to the redline of profitability.

Back in 2014, an outfit called Mobile Media Partners tried to claim the Flappy Bird trademark in a filing made mere days after Nguyen pulled the game from the App Store. Coincidentally enough, the specific New Jersey address listed by Mobile Media Partners on that 2014 application matches an address used by Gametech Holdings in the paperwork for its 2023 legal efforts.

Purely opportunistic bullshit and painting it as anything innocent is disingenuous.

I can give Ali a pass for niche things, but Temu is straight up junk. The problem is when these cheaper products permeate everything while being pushed as high end. Etsy is basically useless now because of this. Almost everything on there is an overpriced knockoff.

None of this is necessarily AliExpress’ or Temu’s fault though. It’s just what happens in a capitalist system.

Hey, I’ll take any ceasefire at this point. If she goes through with it, I’m all for it. But history doesn’t make me optimistic, and she’s using the same 2 state solution stuff we’ve heard before and it sounds like appeasement.

The US has gone so deep on this venture that backing out risks basically everything. Members of the Knesset have already stated that if Netanyahu agrees to anything that stops or reduces the genocide, they’ll kickoff a coup. So I’m not optimistic that any president in our lifetime will finally put an end to this, and words amount to nothing.
