You’re clearly riled up about the feedback you’re getting from some people on Lemmy. And that’s understandable, given that I don’t think you are a Russian operative or anything like that. I think you are on this platform with the best of intentions.

But from the outside looking in, it seems like you are doubling down because of this reaction. You are seeing the community’s backlash against your contributions (be they right or wrong) and you seem to be thinking “well screw you guys, I’m going to just post even more of this content!” That’s your choice, of course.

But regardless of the sentiment, you are posting about Stein and other third party candidates a lot. In my opinion (and that of a fair few other people, it seems), some of the links you are sharing are decent but unpopular; and some of them are dubious.

I know you and I have had one or two recent back-and-forths on this topic. For what it’s worth, I haven’t downvoted your replies to me. You are entitled to your opinion, and to share it on this platform.

But I suggest taking a breath and relaxing a bit. I’m not saying that to be a dick or to be patronizing or to put you off from sharing links. And before you say something like “oh I’m already super relaxed!”, I’m not implying you are raging or wound-up behind a device. Yup. Bought some of their containers about 10 years ago and they were okay quality. Bought some more of supposedly the same product a few years ago and the materials had totally changed and they were far inferior to the older ones.

And yes, Porro not only played the rest of the match, but they were using him as basically an extra striker at the end. He was clearly not injured in any way. That was a yellow at best. Me too. My initial guess is it’s something along the lines of a Stuxnet infection of the targeted pagers, which had the operating systems do something that caused the batteries to overheat and explode.

But the fact that they all exploded at the same time is very interesting. You’d think that do ing that by overheating the batteries would see them explode at slightly different times due to local environmental variables.

ETA: As others have pointed out, this must be more than just a lithium ion battery overheating/exploding. I read somewhere that Hezbollah inserts a self-destruct explosive into their pagers in case of emergency. And it sounds like the Israeli intelligence forces probably hacked into their network and triggered the detonations. So it’s probably a combination of Hezbollah’s paranoia combined with old school hacking from Israel.

It’s interesting to me how Ackman was portrayed in the 2016 Betting On Zero documentary as some kind of social champion for the poor who wanted to end the exploitation of regular working/middle class Americans by Herbalife.

Yeah I was reading about this earlier. Apparently all national teams arrange travel for their players to get back to their clubs. But sometimes it can take longer than the player or the clubs would like.

So basically every PL club arranges alternative (and expedited) travel plans for their players, so they can come back from international matches more promptly.
