As I got older, I realised that there were no real winners and there were no real losers…but there were victims and there were students
I love the compassionate intervention that allows @Rooki@lemmy.world the opportunity to learn and correct his behaviors and models that level of compassion. Thank you very much! 😊
oh, you mean the guy that declined tons of money to commit treason against Queen Elizabeth (original) for the Pope even tho the Queen was talking shit about him? if being loyal to your Anglican Queen over money and your own Catholicism is “selling out”, then yes, he did “sell out”. or if by “selling out”, you mean that he wrote real songs about depression rather than court-approved fancy-pants uppity shit the jesters were twerking to, then yeah, he “sold out” there too…get out of here with that bullshit.
Thank you! We’re really excited. I’ve added the main instance community to the sidebar here. However, since we’re so new, there aren’t really any communities. Waiting on users to sign up and start making it a place of their own. However, I do plan on making some communities when I get a chance.
“grey hats”
What’s a grey hat?
it might be the ugliest car ever made honestly, i urge people to find an uglier mass-produced car.

it’s not authentic until they gang up on the autistic kid
Sorry for another “Is this autism or normal human behavior?” Post.
I don’t think you have to apologize for this. Seeking support with these situations is one of the reasons this community exists. It’s even explicitly stated in the sidebar under encouraged:
- Questions regarding autism.
- Seeking and sharing support.
Ask away!
I can see this working with strangers, and I would have no problem getting rejected by one. It gets more complicated with people I have to maintain a relationship with because people may be uncomfortable.

ITT: people who have severely underestimated Mozart’s musical capacities and contributions.
Mozart is a musician that is studied by nearly any professional musician. There are historians, musical scholars, and museums dedicated to him. He’s a household name across the world. He established a period of music. As a teenager, he deciphered a 12 min choral piece with multiple groups and solos after hearing it once and by memory wrote it down later that night (he heard it a 2nd time a few days later for minor corrections). When he presented the score to the clergy, they said he got one note wrong. After investigation, Mozart heard it right. The musician’s score was off by a note. Could any popular musician mentioned here decipher just a 6 min song of 4 instrument band after hearing it once with pen and paper ready? Imagine telling any music legend now, “Hey, you’re off by a half a step on the 3rd note of bar 28 of your own song.”
Comparing an awesome popular singer, guitarist, or band to him is like comparing your friend that got a job at NASA to Einstein. There is no modern Mozart. There have been greats since Mozart, but there haven’t been any Mozarts since Mozart. I say this as a Beethoven fan. Mozart was the only Mozart. He was so good, that his name became a title for great musician: Mozart. No one listed in this thread is anywhere near being a Mozart.
autistic employees may contribute to improvements in organizational performance because they are more likely to identify and report inefficient processes and dysfunctional practices when they witness them.
Except, when you inadvertently point out that the emperor has no clothes and you get attacked for that. Meanwhile, the chill NTs in the room were waiting for you to do it and are internally cracking up that you finally did what they knew you were going to do all along.
I’m autistic, and I literally think this every single time I see an enderman. “There’s my autistic buddy!” They also
like to hang around you while they do their own thing,
lose their minds if you move the block they placed (ie move their things)
like to stare
From what I’ve seen, here are some of the arguments against self-diagnosing:
In the first two arguments, the problem with self-diagnosing is the social impact it has on others, including the autistic community. I can see why some people are against self-diagnosing since it could make their lives harder, especially autistic people. The last one is more about helping the individual properly understand them-self and developing a proper course of action to improve their lives, so it’s an argument rooted in care.
I am not entirely against self-diagnosis. However, I think it could be re-phrased to “self-identified” since “diagnosis” is a medical term. It would be like a person saying, “I’m self-diagnosed with depression.” That person isn’t diagnosed with depression, though they very well may be depressed. It’s really just a pedantic issue from my perspective. Regardless, I don’t really care one way or the other because I understand what they are saying and think that an actually autistic person self-identifying as autistic is valid enough. Still, while I wont invalidate someone for self-identifying by gatekeeping autism, I tend to be a little cautious at first because of my experiences with people pretending to be autistic. In this case, I think the issue is that some jerks just can’t let us have nice things.
Can confirm. The psychward is incredibly cold. I walked around with a blanket the entire time.
This guy and his name calling lol. What grade is he in?
“I won the Debate.” - lol, what?? There were no points. No one won. It was merely a chance for each candidate to appeal to the voters.
“Everyone knows this” - No they don’t. If everyone knew that, he wouldn’t be saying it just like he’s not saying that we’re on planet Earth because everyone already knows that.
“KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD.” - She was the Vice President. Her role is basically to break ties in the Senate and go to social gatherings to fill in for the President.
“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” - Cause he saw how much it affected him in the polls. If the debate had helped him, he’d be calling for more debates. It would make no sense to be losing but declining debates because it helped the polls.
He must have seen how stupid he looked up there. She was laughing at him with his stupid pet-eating rant. The dude tanked his chances with that part alone. The “concepts of a plan” was just a bonus.
