The Miami Dolphins are placing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve following the concussion he suffered in Week 2, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Tuesday.
I’m a Colts fan who was supremely bummed out when Luck retired. And really, we haven’t been very good since. It sucks.
But he’s a good guy, and he was getting absolutely obliterated out there. I don’t begrudge his decision for a second. I’m glad he’s going to be able to live the rest of his life with intact ribs and ankles and stuff.
I think Tua should do the same. It’s one thing to have your bones hurt forever. It’s another to have your brain turned to scrambled eggs and either eat from a straw for the rest of your life or end up going all Hernandez and killing someone and then yourself. It’s not worth it.
Mad respect for Luck. I know the discs in his back were messed up but at least he got out while he still has quality of life.
I agree that, while I love football, we don’t need any more Aaron Hernandez, Jovan Belcher, or Junior Seau situations.
Tua needs to hang it up, it’s his decision but as someone that has been personally victimized by him(UGA fan) he seems like a really good guy who’s clearly marching down a path of pain with his physical health and I don’t want to read a story about his suicide in 8 years
