Yes, a g4 or g5 i think, had to fix 5 Capacitors, did a good job at 4, the 5th i had to extend with some wire, not ideal. It boots but USB is not recognized / i asume it does not get enough power. I have a Note on my Phone homescreen to “fix the imac (again)” since June
And the 20$ powerpc imac in my room, that i will fix the capacitors when i have time
Well yes, i choose Debian 12 for the background
Not very large, download it, put it on usb with rufus(choose the right Disk, not you C:, ) Start from USB and test without making changes, if the laptop is super New stuff may not work yet on Mint
Distro: “Ubuntu with Bing”
For banking apps: my Bank only has them as 2fa, if you say you don’t have a Smartphone, and give you the same Programm as Windows App eventually, runs great in a win10 VM, the payments are made in there Webportal

A bag for bycicles, gets you free Transport in parts of the EU for the bike, not used it once, its been months
Can you get close to lineageos usage/privacy if you remove most stuff, including play store from a preinstalled Android phone?
Me removing the plastic case of a 2.5’ sata ssd to make it physically smaller
Something like: > sftp://telemetry.microsoft.com that would be even better.
Mine is from 2017 and is still fine, not perfect but fine. has 700+ cycles and moderate to high usage. Most battery’s can be replace quite simple pop the back cover of and disconnect it, except for tablets and some 2 in 1s they are glued together. Or you have to remove the Screen to get into it. good luck keeping the screen in 1 piece there.
What a nice story, and yes closed console stores are too expensive.
My frend was asking me for a recomendation for a tablet to game on in ~2019. I bought a cheap office PC and upgraded the CPU to a firstgen like Intel xeon x3440~ and gave him my old gtx1060. Turns out he plays mostly stategy games like old anno, Aoe and citybuilders. (What was his intention to play on Android?). Anyway he has now a decent Ryzen system and 32Gb of RAM.
next step: the system asks for the sudo passwort to confirm 😅
The Problem starts at 4 right, right?
