not at all. are you expected to remember it? would it even be possible to memorize for most? not even close to the same thing, passwords have very low entropy which causes all their problems
i think that’s when you copy and paste text
you could probably arrange to watch it with nice people in public. or just wait until it hits streaming in a couple months?
there’s literally zero technical reason that a user couldn’t reset a private key the same as a password. after all, you just pointed out they are almost the same.
edit: if you’d like to see an example create SSH keys for your GitHub account and then reset them
don’t you dare compare us with those R-words!
it would’ve been so cool if they just set 1 meter to 1 yard
it was bound to happen bc the NRA has advocated for a lot of gun control measures which are not very popular with the folks they were supposed to represent.
private keys, etc
passwords were maybe the dumbest idea ever invented
yeah i cracked up watching it with my pops
hey now let’s be fair here, people hate C++ too
seems like not that long ago i would’ve thought that the idea of a PC without any disc drive was insane. i had to help a neighbor kid the other week when forced bitlocker bricked his gaming PC, sure enough it didn’t have any disc drive!
that can’t be real… oh no. wtaf!
i had a CR-V which had a really great electrical issue where it would drain the battery if you didn’t start it every day. The dealer suggested that i should have somebody go to the airport and start the car for me every day while i was working out of town 0_o
if this comes with tetris attack I’m buying
accurate. BTW, i got a copy of red hat linux from the library back in '98 or so and tried to install it on my 386 but 8MB of RAM was too little by half. Windows 95 ran on it tho!
so obviously i use arch nowadays, but i’ve been feeling a little BSD-curious. it seems like linux might get overrun with normies soon and i need a backup plan
