  • I prefer to think for myself and figure it out on my own. Too, often I am without internet. Having my own tools I don’t have to depend on online.

I began working on them for some Atari 2600 work I am trying to expand upon. I worked with pixel art long before the phrase was coined. I created the Image and Greeting carts that display digital photos. The tools are used mainly for that project.

  • It is not internet based. It is my own scripted code that calls on Lanczos, B-Spline, and Bicubic mathematical formulas that use white light frequency enlargement and then filtered through the tgp upscale to remove pixelation and interlacing. Most of these are available from IrfanView and Adobe.

This use of formulas to enlarge is considered A.I. as a complex system of processes is used to examine, evaluate, and “decide” the best result without human interaction.

While it is true that I did not create the mathematical formulas, to ban derived images is like saying we should ban JPEG’s if one doesn’t acknowledge every member of the Joint Photographic Experts Group, or JPEG whose work we’ve used.

As a programmer of more than 4 decades, believe it or not, I am able to enlarge a picture without relying upon a online server farm.

  • I will address the REarranged icons.

I use several different tools, mainly apkanalyzer for icons. Some apk’s as you point out have multiple images and a few don’t follow standard protocol at all. When that happens the tools report no icon. I then do a manual extraction and edit that are then added to the final “tweaks” so that the next time I run the tools I don’t have to do it again manually.

The link’s point to my archive. My PD archive is close to 7GB and I connect to the Internet via cellphone which makes uploading painful. I am hoping to get my GDrive updated and then I will change the links to point to GDrive.

“My own guess for why there is so many incorrect…” Less than a dozen corrections on more than 400 games isn’t so many. I appreciate the reviews and don’t mind making the corrections. Once the bug’s are hammered out, updating and additions will be easy. That has been a long time goal for this project.

I was being followed and ran into the room hoping to attack and flee.

Now I know how the thief feels when trapped in a room with no exits.

My inventory was very limited. I threw all my unknown potions and ended up paralyzed in a cloud of toxic gas and fire.

I don’t think it qualified as going out in a blaze of glory so much as desperation.

  • I was asked, why keep a spear the entire game?

This was an odd run for me. The first weapon I received was a great axe. It is too large to be a value. I had almost no armor the entire game, until the imp. I obtained the ring of tenacity and the vampiric spear early on. Typically , I take my first upgrade scroll and turn it into enchantment stones and apply the stones to my bow. Throughout the game I mainly rely upon my bow as my primary weapon and don’t give much concern to a melee weapon. I later picked up the ring of furor. I augmented my bow for greater damage at the cost of speed. Using the ring I was able to offset and even greatly improve upon my attack speed. It is very rare that I get the chalice artifact. After looking over my inventory early on and realizing I was going to be challenged for armor and weapons, I noticed that between the 2 rings and the vampiric spear and the chalice of blood, by applying my upgrade scrolls I could achieve almost immortality. The rings prevented me from dying easily, which allowed me to fill the chalice and the chalice regenerated my health and if I should take enough damage, by using my other ring in combination with the spear, I could stab at my enemy’s nearly 6 times as often as they could attack me and gain health back from them.

So, yes, I kept the spear.
