She was a new girlfriend and I did not know anything about the history between her and her mom. But apparently my response was exactly the right one.
Talk about high risk low to medium reward, holy shit what a daredevil

They are going to spin it off eventually, aren’t they?
I’m just thinking survival, instinctively, and not about bystanders around me in that moment.
Kind of fair point for yourself.
However I expect more of a trained professional who has repeated firarms training. They should be sesitized to controlling their direction of fire even in an emergency.
Who speaks about how hot a person is to a crowd just before they are slated to join you on the stage anyway? Ultra cringe.
wanksucker is definitely too light, that seems like a great combo
Depends on wether I want them to understand. If I just say we are the ISP for universities and other schools of higher education then they mostly go, “Ah okay”, but it seems like no one has any idea what that means. I feel like despite using them daily people don’t even know what a network is sometimes.
If Qt or Java is doing it, then that’s still your program and not the WM, though?
In German we call the floors “Geschoss” we have “Erdgeschoss” (earth-floor) and then “Obergeschoss” (above-floor) “Untergeschoss” (under-floor). So you have the ground floor called EG, above it is 1.OG then 2.OG, etc. From the EG downwards there is the 1.UG and further down the 2.UG, etc.
With this terminology there can’t be any confusion, because there needs to be a reference floor from which to count up and down. Lucky us.
“How about you take care of the children you already have for a change and keep at least 500 yards of distance to me forever?”
They have offices and datacenters in the EU. So forced physical entry and interruption to their operations would be the next escalation step.
First of all patents run out generally after 20 years. And then everyone can use your technology.
The whole idea of patents is incitivising inventors to publish their invention for everyone to see. In exchange they get a period of exclusivity. This way they also don’t have to deal with as many trade secrets.
I love how this comment suggests every fucking alternative doesn’t or wouldn’t.
How did you get that from their sentence, what the fuck?
There’s generally higher throughout if people just stand on both sides.
Throughput isn’t everything though, for instance in train stations some people hurry for a connection, I would say let the latency sensitive ones bypass the others, except in situation where there is a concrete throughput issue.
And the fast blink while pairing can stay too. That’s a good use of the LED imho.
I don’t want to change game dev actuality. I just want the terms to reflect what’s actually going on.
Very good and sensible, I second this motion!
So Fuentes says that Trump can’t admit Trump lost, because that makes everything they did senseless. Which is what we’ve been saying all along.
I think he knew all along, but he saw the value in sowing doubt and making it part of his usurpation plans. If you can steal the executive branch and have enough people believe it was justified, because it was actually the counter reaction to a stolen vote, then you have an easier time of mystifying your history and maintaining international relations.
You know like the old playbook of brown shirts in Germany who ended the Weimar Republic.
and even tennis.
Tennis?! Not even Serena Williams believes that:
“Andy Murray has been joking about myself and him playing a match. I’m like, ‘Seriously? Are you kidding me?’ Men’s tennis and women’s tennis are two completely different sports,” Serena Williams said. “If I were to play him, I’d lose 6-0, 6-0 within 10 minutes. Men are a lot faster, they serve and hit harder. It’s a different game.”
The server is used for hole punching, to open up a P2P connection thorugh NATs and Firewalls. If it doesn’t work the server also relays the traffic between the clients.
Getting an end to end connection through todays internet is unfortunately not easy for an average user.
I’m in the state of Georgia: no provision for breaks are given at all.
Oh man that’s brutal.
I used to live in the UK: I think the rule was employers are required to give 30 mins per 10 hours worked, cannot be in the first or last hour.
Yeah here in Switzerland it’s similar to the UK rule. Any shift longer than 6 hours needs to be interrupted by an unpaid but uninterrupted break of at least 30min for eating, such that there isn’t more than a 6 hour continuous work period on either side of the break, IIRC.
Our standard for full-time employment is 8.4h per day. (That’s a bit high in comparison to neighboring countries). It’s very usual that you get your eating break somewhere between 11:30-13:30 o’clock, maybe on rotation with coworkers if you need to keep the phones staffed.
In my office job we all go together from around 11:45 to 12:45.
Oh, Staplerfahrer Klaus! Link for anyone who needs context, the beginning seems normal but things really derail after a while so keep watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJdCJMyBi5I
