Jesus Christ he might even actually have the popular vote.
Jesus Christ he might even actually have the popular vote.
Bullshit. And seriously the Internet as a whole and especially lemmy does not need to this shit.
Perpetual motion bullshit.
Jebus. $500 water bill?!
Yeah this should have been publicized earlier. I wake up and play the dailies and then read news later. Sorry NYT.
Damn. I just saw the trailer for it yesterday and was ready to dive into a new weird apple show. Guess I’m back to waiting for severance.
Summary: TechBro says out of touch bullshit that gives him an excuse to deploy more ai/spyware to users.
Listen here everyone, I don’t want to talk to my car to change the air conditioner settings in my car.
I put it on my to do list when I went to Portland a while back. Spent several hours there. Had to fly home with books. It would be dangerous if I lived in Portland.
Good time to plug a service I enjoy.
No offense but it’s literally called the salvation army.
What a technology! A speaker hooked up to the same computer that’s scanning boarding passes. What a time to be alive.
I’ve only ever bought one car new and that’s exactly how it happened for me. Shopping in December, dealer had just one of that model year left. It was very well loaded but I had come to them saying I was only looking for something mid range. I’m the end I paid the mid range price I was hoping for but with a lot of extra bells and whistles. There’s a lot to be said for timing and patience in the car world.
Of course that was pre pandemic and everything now is getting squeezed. I’m not sure the same rules apply.
I can’t speak for the NFL situation because I don’t care about football, but years ago I was into baseball and was following the local team. I thought about subscribing to the MLB app since I had cut the cable cord years before that. Of course then I found out, due to ridiculous blackout rules, there was no amount of money I could pay MLB to let me watch local games in realtime.
The first year I was able to use my VPN to get around the blackout but when they closed the loophole the next year, I threw my hands up and cancelled my account. I’m done giving money to companies that only use that money to find new ways to restrict and lockdown their content.
Nice. I did listen to some of the albums that came out after I fell off the wagon. Nothing quite as good as those first few joker cards though.
Came here for this. I can still recite a crazy number of those songs 20+ years after I stopped listening to them.
Counterpoint: sucking blows.
Well this is why they closed the restaurant first and only sent a few of his fanatics through the drive through line.
Ignoring the fact that’s he is already an elected official in his home state.
That article, which does highlight a valid criticism of society and Hollywood, doesn’t really apply to this scenario. The fan edit isn’t about sexing up the characters. The edit is doing a more effective job of recreating the original poster than the movie studio did.
I don’t fault the actors or even the studio for wanting to feature their high paid actors on the movie poster but by trying to recreate the original but failing to capture the mood, of course fans are going to want to put their spin on it. There is probably even a middle ground that could have been struck to make her face mysterious but still mostly visible.
Is it rude and offensive when fans edit the Lord of the Rings films to better reflect the original story as told in the books?
In the end, I’m pretty sure this whole thing is a PR stunt to stir up word of mouth. Which of course is working because we all like to argue.
Came here to post this. Watch this for 50th time. Up vote it. Watch it again.
Looks fantastic. I’m not sure I would call the animation Disney-styled. Nothing from the trailer made me think it looked like anything particularly “Disney”.
