I’m sure there’s some kind of subtle message the author of the comic is trying to tell me but I just can’t put my finger on it.

Just a couple of fun guys.
I’ll see myself out.
Lemmy is actually leftist unlike Reddit.
Telling Nazis they should follow Hitler’s lead and kill themselves is just a Tuesday here.
I’m going to generalise here but I have a strong suspicion I know the type of person/people who came up with this ‘brilliant’ idea.
Im guessing their homes and Stanley cups probably feature a pastel aesthetic.
Work colleague crystallised their losses during the GFC by selling their 401k and changing the asset allocation to Cash.
They didn’t convert it back to stocks until 2018…
Is that belt a bike lock?
I guess that’s the best representation bisexuals can expect.
Get rid of guns and you can stop this.
It’s the most basic solution that even conservatives can understand.
They seem to apply the following logic to everything else:
Stop immigrants? Build wall
Stop terrorists? Kill them
Stop homeless? Bus them
Stop poor? Tax cut
Stop mass shootings? Ban guns
Yeah. America isn’t the world.
Plenty of countries have functioning public transport.
America is not the exception, you can survive without cars.
My frustration comes from the fact that hybrids exist and are not used nearly as enough as they should (all cars should have been mandated as hybrids a decade ago) and this would reduce the downsides of electric car production.
I’m not defending ICEs here, I just think the overall environmental credentials of electric cars at this point in time isn’t as good as hybrids.
I fully expect this to change in the future but I’ve got entire fleets of vehicles which are less than 5 years old being replaced by electric and that makes no sense.
Also cars generally are just a terrible solution to mass transport. We already have the most environmentally friendly option known to man. Bicycles and trains.
Edit: for further information on hybrid vs electric see this analysis:
It’s not a place for nuanced debate because I have no idea who I’m talking to.
I’d rather devote my time to having those nuanced conversations in real life (which I do) than trying to convince an American online through a meme community that gun bans would reduce school shootings for example.
To be taken seriously offline I necessarily have to make well reasoned and researched arguments.
Lemmy is where I come to blow off steam and just berate my ideological opponents because they genuinely are losers.
It is not a place for nuanced debate.
And the name of that human mountain guy?
Albert Einstein.
You sure showed me the error of my ways!
We’ll show you how much we can take a joke by down voting this comment!
(Yes, this comment will be downvoted too)
This is basically equivalent to evidence found in the bible so it probably counts.
To me it sounds like you’re saying this:
Hey Lemmy, I want to learn how to ride a bicycle but I don’t actually want to ride a bicycle as part of learning how to ride one. I also don’t want to make any mistakes learning how to ride a bicycle.
If someone came up to you and said that, would you think that’s reasonable?
What’s your apprehension about going out and meeting people to help you find what you’re looking for?
I mean by all means jot down a couple of deal breakers for yourself when considering a partner (I.e. non-smoker, doesn’t physically abuse me, no drug addiction etc) but there’s only so far you can go with theorising a partner.
People will surprise you in my experience. Behaviour or characteristics you thought you really didn’t like suddenly becomes irrelevant when it’s the right person.
Europe didn’t send their best went they founded America…
