It depends on what boards you frequented. There was also a big influx a few years ago, especially following the closure of places like TheDonald. There are 100% right wing extremists on 4chan, if you know the dog whistles to look for.
Then you don’t remember 4chan or stayed off the main boards. I haven’t been on in close to a decade and they were unironically Nazi post well before I bailed.
