I like Lower Decks, and it’s certainly Star Trek-y, but it feels more Star Trek-adjacent to me being so vastly tonally different.
Perhaps I need to give SNW another try, it didn’t vibe with me immediately but I didn’t outright dislike it in the way that I disliked Discovery and Picard
Mate season 1 of Picard as a continuation of Nemesis is fucking brilliant. It literally gives you everything you want and so much more. How fucking fickle are you fans, for fucks sake… If you can’t find anything to like about Picard you’re just wrong.
Picard (the show) is many years after Nemesis, it doesn’t make sense how they forced him to lead a ragtag band of space outlaws after years of settling down.
Picard (the character) went by the book if possible, and it took extreme circumstances for his moral compass to override his officer duty. It’s not the same character in the new show; the original Picard was coherent with his principles, the new Picard behaves like Han Solo.
