Hopefully you are not tracking my direct messages. Can’t judge due to licensing ;).
For the Views of comments and posts you explicitly bound the former@latter.part to its own onClickListener. You didn’t implemented that within anything in our inbox. Therefore I ask you to bind the nested RecyclerView when opening a inbox message - as well as its message itself - to the same interactions.
Sincerly, a happy user.
I’m probably misunderstanding something. Could you please provide a screenshot of where this is happening or give a more detailed explanation? I tried to create a post with a comment chain containing links. I then attempted to tap the link on the (1) inbox screen, (2) the message screen and (3) within the context box inside the message screen. In all 3 cases, the link opened correctly.
I utterly tested to rewind my issue and I failed to replicate it as well. Before posting I was able to replicate it with any item on my inbox.
I am sorry for issuing a non existing issue, Sir. Thank you for your careful exploration and documentation.
To clean my name I post an other (little) todo:
If a comment posts a picture (of a certain size?) we are unable to reply since long-pressing the comment does not expand the comment but opens the context menu for further actions on the image. See the reply to this comment as an example: https://lemmy.sdf.org/comment/13822832
Just to let you know:
Your work contributes to society.
// Edit: we do not have any handle around the picture to refer to the comment as it when long pressing. I expected to enlarge the comment when long pressing the header of the comment where no text is shown. Right and above to the picture but left to the hide/show arrow. When writing this, it appears we have three states and my terminology is wrong but I am unable to adapt yours ;)
I’m going to change it so that long tapping the header, expand button or the side will expand actions as well.
