    Why?

Because it absolves the Democratic Party of its responsibility. They said this election was about preserving democracy. Then they didn’t do EVERYTHING THEY COULD to get every last person hyped to vote for them. Instead, they complacently chose to ignore the legitimate concerns of a whole number of constituencies. They offered nothing to counter Right Populism. No grand vision, nothing to inspire anyone. They even leashed Walz, for fuck’s sake. They let Trump waltz around in Michigan pandering to muslims while either doing fuck all or kicking their own muslim democratic leaders out of their rallies. The. Democrats. Fucked. Up. Stop blaming the voters, blame the Democrats. Otherwise, if your country has fair elections in 4 years, you’ll have the same fucking problem all over again.

Even better, after all of this, highly influential members of the Democratic Party, like Nancy Pelosi, have the gall to give interviews and respond to voters and other elected officials criticizing the campaign by saying the the campaign was perfect. There is no real desire amongst the Democratic leadership to do anything more than this.

Voters are smart enough to analyze that a man promising to let Putin do what he wants and let Israel eradicate Palestine is worse for both wars than the person who pledges to support Ukraine and keep trying to stop the massacre in Gaza. This meme is about single issue voters who care about that, and the answer was obvious. You could argue the entirety of the 10m voters were impacted by what you’re arguing but what you’re arguing is not relevant to this meme. It’s just shouting at the internet that a third party didn’t do things exactly the way you wanted it to.
