Meat has been a status symbol since civilization started. Cheese came a bit later, but it’s also a status symbol. The fact that people treat animal flesh like a staple doesn’t make it a staple, it means that those people are blind to their privileges.
Lmao. Meat is a luxury and you scrapped the “wealth items”. It was literally one of the biggest status symbols many moons ago. Now people just have the privilege of this luxury.
I’m not Christian but it’s quite obvious that as long as it’s not survival it would fall under gluttunous. And no it’s not survival when you can choose a moral, cheaper and even healthier diet when walking trough a supermarket that has everything you need.
It also says gluttony is a sin, and because animal meat is not required in a healthy diet that makes it gluttonous in nature.
LMAO, I took this from some dumb christian website (since that’s the framework we’re playing with rn):
Christians: WAIT WAIT NOT THAT LAST BIT!
But also by that definition eating meat is still fine, it’s eating like 3 big macs a meal (ykwim) that’s gluttonous.

I can paste the quote again, no problem!
Here, check out alternative translations: https://www.bible.com/bible/compare/GEN.9.3-4
All I see is “drain the blood before” (exsanguination), what they’d call “kosher”.
Mhmm, drain a lot of blood from not animals do ya? Your leeks are leaking?
Here’s a screenshot of your link btw,
Note
Frankly by these passages, I think the bible is fine with cannibalism, much less “eating meat.” As it says “just bleed it out first, is fine.”

Unsure if you missed the joke intentionally or not, but I was making fun of the hypocrisy of the mega church guys like Joel Olsteen.
And yet:
It is what it is.
