Similar to how AIPAC did not mention israel or antisemitism when targeting Jamaal Bowman their smear campaigns try to target subjects the population cares about and subsequently lies or heavily exaggerates them.
Here’s an example during election period from The Times, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch.
Instead of listing articles which are stating that she was linked to Russian, do you have any other source evidencing that she was targeted by a Israel-funded smear campaign?
The article you linked also appears to be a hit-piece. The supposed accusations in the title are not from the government either but from media outlets.
Latvian member of the European Parliament Tatjana Ždanoka has been accused of working with Russian intelligence services since 2004 in a joint investigation by Russian, Latvian, Estonian and Swedish media outlets.
Daly herself was never arrested for spying or taking money. There’s a lot of insinuation going on but surprisingly little concrete links. Or as she herself said in the article:
Mr Wallace did not respond to a request for comment. In an email, Ms Daly said: “Would you ever cover the work that we actually do instead of occupying your time with these constant attempts to construct elaborate guilt-by-association conspiracy theories?”
Sadly there’s no OpenSecrets for Ireland so it’s more difficult to track everything. Though anything with the name “Times, Telegraph or Post” usually leads to israel. Irish Times doesn’t have an owner but a board of directors of 10 people. With so many people it’s impossible not to find some guilt by association links but I do not feel like wasting my time on that
Rupert Murdochs’ Times has posted multiple smear pieces on Daly as well. It certainly was not a one-off.
Where is that article is there any evidence of smear campaign from pro Israel media outlets? The article has been written after the election.

There seems to be similar reports from the Irish Times, not owned by Rupert Murdoch
