    “And being financially irresponsible”. He took the £1 million he made and blew it on luxurious items and now it’s all gone. He could have won the lottery and it’d be the same story.

      Fair. I think he should have realised it wouldn’t a consistent stream, as the cat would eventually die. Maybe use it to study or something and get a good job up.

    So the guy made a million pounds over 12 years (on average 83k a year), and still makes 10k a year now.

    Motherfucker, that amount of money means a comfy retirement for most people.

    I’m not sure if this is a boring dystopia story. What I read is the story of a gullible man with no concept of saving for rainy days who struck it rich and lost it all. Sad, but hardly anybody’s fault but his.

    Omg I read this book a while ago
