Summary
China’s President Xi Jinping warned US President Joe Biden that Taiwan, democracy, human rights, and development are red lines for China and should not be challenged. Xi also warned against US involvement in South China Sea disputes and provocations in the region.
Why the fuck does China and CCP have any say in “democracy and human rights” like they are some kind of leader in that regard?

Yea, but was it the final warning?
Yeah. And that’s why Taiwan will be what starts WWIII.

TSMC goes belly up before we get suitable replacements manufactured elsewhere, and Microsoft, Google, Meta, Netflix, Hulu, OpenAI, Apple, IBM, and many others go belly up with them. Or will at least be so severely disrupted that yeah. Their red line is our red line. Push will come to shove eventually.
There are a lot of WWIII hotspots at the moment. It’s playing bingo at this point
I’ve been calling out Taiwan being where it all goes haywire since before I joined Lemmy.
I agree but this post confirms my ‘bet’
I won’t bet against it haha. But a war with china would suck. Russia would hop in of course, then North Korea would show up and accidentally nuke themselves and everyone near them.
It’s almost like everything everywhere is happening all at once, on schedule, like some kind of plan.
Every normal person can see it. Yet the powers keep pushing closer and closer to the end.
Nobody wants it (except the crazies). Nobody can stop it (except those who won’t).
“All the world’s a stage” and all that.
It’s good for business or something.
We could make considerable progress by treating each other as partners and friends, Xi told Biden
